Davis Creek is located near Helen, Ga. in the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Raven Cliffs Wilderness area. There are several small falls along the creek's short course which ends where Davis Creek and Dodd Creek merge together to form Duke's Creek. The largest falls is called Duke's Creek Falls. This video was shot in August 2009 at a low water level. I think you can sometimes capture many more details at lower flows. Music by Bjorn Lynne (Time & Reflection). Filmed with HPX170. Edited with Edius 5. Exact directions to the falls may be found at jjanthony.com/waterfalls/
Seeming to be a peaceful and quiet day at the nature reserve lake Østensjøvannet, taking a northwards walk on its western part seeing that still no small ones had arrived at the swans, grebes and coots nests. Upon approaching the observation hut some male swans appeared having something to swan discuss, being in the typical posture of territorial conflict. One of them approached me when having the Handycam placed nearly at the water level. After a brief recording entering the hut while looking northwards some sounds of splashing wings indicated something was going on in the other direction. Raining now also. With the camera placed in the small wooden opening in the hut several minutes with fierce fighting were recorded. When the swans ended up on the forest road I moved onto the road under a tree and got some more of this event, until the one combatant I recorded close previously, managed to withdraw and heading for his nest more north. The winner 63E setting course southwards.
