In Shelagh Stephenson's award-winning, hilarious black comedy The Memory of Water, three sisters come together in a highly charged atmosphere on the eve of their mother's funeral. With snow falling outside they laugh and cry, rage and bicker as the conflicts of the past and their hold on the present are mercilessly exposed. This searing comedy exposes the patterns and strains of family life in a way that will be familiar to all and features well known and well loved Waterford actresses, Lynda Gough and Jenni Ledwell, Tina Kellegher (The Snapper and The Clinic) and Emily Nagle. Joining the girls will be Michael Power and Charlie Bonner (The Country Girls).
The Memory of Water promises to be one of those great nights at the theatre and is simply not to be missed.

Described by The Wall Street Journal as ‘the cleverest, most cunningly constructed and assured play in years’, The Beauty Queen of Leenane is a darkly comic thriller which portrays the ancient, manipulative Mag and her virginal daughter Maureen locked in a dance of mutual loathing which may be more durable than any love.
Ben Barnes, whose production of this play won several major awards in North America teams up with the internationally renowned designer, Todd Rosenthal (Tony and Olivier Awards for August Osage County) in his first Irish production of this award winning play.
