After severe flooding in the Snoqualmie Valley, King County Road Services workers clear and clean lanes. So how do they get roads back in shape? Before a road can be reopened after the water has receded, crews must first inspect the road to make sure no damage occurred during the storm. Then comes the task of removing tons of storm debris and mud before the road can be safely be reopened. It’s an intensive effort but an important one as county road crews work to quickly open roads for the public following the flood.

Crews closed roads and monitored water levels in flooded parts of the Snoqualmie Valley throughout the week of Jan. 4th.
