My Child is Dreaming:
The idyllic world of children against adults' dreamlike visions.
When my daughter was born I bought my first diary. In the beginning I was just taking notes of her progress, reactions and likes.
Then I began writing about my dreams as well. After two years, I've collected all the most beautiful bits to create a video. From such duality, a project called "My child is dreaming" was born.
It is an introspective journey full of metaphors and paradoxes that put in contrast the idyllic and enchanted world of children with adults' dreamlike visions, sometimes a bit pessimistic and obsessive.

Good music makes the World a better place.
Music has been going through a dark period in the last years and with time rapidly passing by, I have the conviction that the magic aura that enveloped music until the end of the 90s is lost forever. But not everything is completely lost where there is still hope that one day one come a wizard, a musician, a new messiah who will reinvigorate the music’s tree to bring it back to the splendour of the golden age. A wizard that will create a new music around which will rotate a new culture capable of changing the thinking of the people and makes the world a better place. I have big hopes and in this video I tried to represent him.

Virtual reality, 360-degree videos, social networks, video games that look like movies and movies that resemble video games:
I think that most of the entertainment`s world nowadays has become monstrous and it is no longer just eyes` illusion, but often illusion of the mind.
I do not know about you but personally, among all these innovation`s turbines, I find myself still attracted by ancient methods and tools which continue to fascinate me. Some time ago I came across a phenakistoscope (also spelled as phenakistiscope or phenakitiscope or phantasmascope or phantascope), an antique optical instrument that displays animated images (practically current animated gif) invented in 1832 by Joseph Plateau. I then found some scans of these circles on the Internet and I began to digitally animate them. After a few attempts, I started to combine these animations trying to create something original and unpublished. Eventually, in order to stay on, I created a stop motion with paper toys from nineteenth-century that open and close the video. The music was carefully crafted by Al-Maranca.
The result of all this work is called "L'illusion de Joseph" in honour of Joseph Plateau, inventor of phenakistoscope.

Buona visione.# vimeo.com/169093115 Uploaded 52.5K Plays 1,687 Likes 35 Comments
When I work for a personal video project the thing I love to do most is to improvise: I try to join different things trying to give it a shape and a narration. This magical touch sometimes work. In recent months, I had made a bit of animated gifs random and yesterday I decided to put them together. The result will surprise you.
