Kontaining 2012

A two-week takeover of a shipping container in Lasipalatsinaukio, Helsinki, from the 29th of May until the 10th of June 2012. Kontaining is produced by Ptarmigan ry in association with the Arts Council of Uusimaa.

A two-week takeover of a shipping container in Lasipalatsinaukio, Helsinki, from the 29th of May until the 10th of June 2012. Kontaining is produced by Ptarmigan ry in association with the Arts Council of Uusimaa.

Kontaining hosted projects by artists that consider the specific site of the container in Kamppi, in the categories of installation, performance and/ or participatory activities for 24 hours (from 9am to 9am) sessions.

The project is process-oriented, supports experimentation and encourages interactive and site-specific artwork and cross-media exchange. At the end of the two weeks, the project will host an Open Day which will invite all the participants to celebrate the developments and results of the events.
