1. HUMAN INSTALLATION VIII
    TECHNO AMNIOTIC - FETUS' STORM

    Performance Art by KYRAHM
    in collaboration with Julius Kaiser

The pregnant woman, through a doppler, listens to the vibrations of the amniotic liquid, the heartbeat of the fetus and his movements.
The audience is invited to do the same, entering into an intimate connection.
Normally, the amniotic liquid and the placenta are the first transmitters and conductors of the stimulations received from the exterior environment to the fetus.
In this case, it is the fetus who producers variations to the exterior environment.
All sounds are amplified in real-time and, through the use of technological supports, lights, colors, shapes and ambient effects are modified according to the received stimulations from the fetus, thus transforming the external physical space into a stormy womb.

  2. PERFORMANCE ART by Kyrahm.
"Are you sleeping or are you dead?" - Mama shell, daughter mush. "I'm alive, don't you feel my breath?"
"I thought it was the wind"
During Chrysalis i was closed in a cocoon for 30 hours no stop in the middle of a square of Rome looked after by my own mother for my basic needs night and day.
Web cam connected to the event's web site later it will be possible to chat with me.
The action is about the incommunicability between mother and daughter and the demonstration that to shut oneself up as a defence mechanism, in reality exposes us to greater risks. The happening ended when Kyrahm destroyed the cocoon and headed for the theatre where the Body Performance Art Festival "Muta-azioni Profane" written and curated by her took place.
When Kyrahm arrives at the theatre, the Festival started and she recovered on stage: eat and wash herself for "The Cycle of Life - Human Installation II" is inspired by the phases of life. Kyrahm is not using actors but real subjects: a 18 days old baby suddenly cries, elderly people show their aged bodies, a teenage girl covers embarassed.

    Notes:
The baby in Human Installation II: Life Cycle is one of the smallest player in the history of theater and performance art.
In 2009 Kyrahm created Chrysalis and in 2011 Lady Gaga stayed closed in an egg for 72 hours and went out for the Grammy Awards

"Dormi o sei morta?"

    Gender Obsolescence
The solemn ritual presents variety of genders and describes FtM (Female to Male) transition.

The naked body and the I. The mask and the stereotype.
It’s a gynandroid performance where the transition process is intermingled with poetry.
Sex is represented as skin, female, male. Gender is represented in the sense of self, of man, and of woman. A journey, a crossing, a transition. Naked bodies lined up slowly coming closer. Each individual has a story. They are holding hands. Changing sex is painful like birth. The golden masks on their faces are not to hide their identities: In fact as they come closer it is possible to distinguish their genders: a biological man, a trans man, a trans woman, a biological woman. From the bottom of the stage, a female creature unfolds from behind a black towel and goes to stand behind them: she walks across touching the bodies, one after the other. The pain is tiring, the flesh a substance to be shaped. The solemn rite of dressing up - in trousers, jacket and tie: it's the return to the opposite. For a transsexual changing sex is not becoming a man but a return to being a man. There is no need to wear the masks anymore: the self is revealed.
