"a world, a world" invites audiences into an extravagantly immersive landscape saturated by shards of movement, sound, image, and language—a tumult that stutters and sputters out, yielding to a spacious, luminous, and meditative world. First presented as a work-in-progress in December 2017, this work is the culminating chapter in (Un)Made, a multi-year body of work investigating the limits and porosity of the individual self in relation to the multitude of possible spaces we inhabit: performative, collective, socio-political, and devotional. unmade.net/

Allie Hankins, gin camou, keyon gaskin, Jen Hackworth, and Takahiro Yamamoto were integral to the development and performance of the 2017 work-in-process version of a world, a world.
The development of a world, a world during 2017-2020 was made possible by early performances at On the Boards' NW New Works, the Risk/Reward Festival, a 2019 residency with PICA’s Creative Exchange Lab, and Austin’s 2017 Foundation for the Contemporary Arts Merce Cunningham Award.
These 2020 performances of a world, a world are made possible with funding from the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation.
