Choreographer’s Note:
Our rehearsals took place in the evenings following long days of classes. Often when I would show up to class the students would be resting or dancing to loud music (I first heard the song "On and Ever Onward" at one of these pre-class impromptu dances). On and Ever After is inspired by the energized body and the restful body that I witnessed before rehearsals began. Both struck me as expressive, necessary, and beautiful. The individuality of how those energies reside and manifest in each dancer is what moved me. – Juliette Mapp
