  4. Lang Dance Spring 2014 Performance

    Several Textures
Choreography and text by: Neil Greenberg.
    Lighting design by: Vincent Vigilante
Music by: Steve Roden, Alan Jay Lerner, and Frederick Loewe. The Rain in Spain from the My Fair Lady Soundtrack: Phunk Investigation, It is Star Time.
Performed by: Alexa Andrade, Sarah Cross, Elizabeth Juarez, Lily Montasser, Mariama Noguera-Devers, Genevieve Parkington, Antonina Rettenwander, Isabel Rolston, Kristi Tartaglione, and Ella Wasserman-Smith.

    Choreographer's Note:
I created most of the movement for this dance, as for all my work for the past twenty years, by videotaping myself improvising and then, with the dancers, learning sections of the video as close to “verbatim” as possible. Several Textures, #3 includes material originally included in The Disco Project (1995) and Part Three (My Fair Lady) (1997), along with movement from a home movie of six-year-old Neil dancing in the living room. - Neil
