The first member race at MMC, edited for the action. What looked like nice weather turned ugly early in the race and we were all running slicks and sliding around while it poured rain for a while. I had some good battles with the Ferrari F430 Challenge car and then a Cayman Interseries chasing after me. In the end I finished 1st in class and 1st overall.
This was at the Porsche Club of America "Twin Sprint Rumble" at Lime Rock Park. The video was of the first sprint race of the yellow group, which had 32 cars in multiple classes, both faster and slower. My car, a 2002 Porsche 996, runs in the "I" class. The green flag was not thrown at first (since nobody cared to wait for it) so we came around for a restart, which is where this video begins. Unfortunately, this cost valuable time, but not nearly as much as the wreck in the second lap. Nothing more than egos were hurt, but it took some time to get cleaned up so all cars were pulled into the pits where we waited. After the yellow flags were thrown and having passed three flag stations, 3 cars continued to pass. But from then on, for the short amount of time remaining, it was a fantastic race with cars right on my tail and in the way. I finished 3rd out of 6 in my class, and 8th out of 32 overall.
A short video of the Monticello Motor Club member series. In this race there were 21 cars, 19 of which were Porsches making for some great competition. I qualified 5th and finished 2nd overall, first in class. This video has it all, spins, a crash, and lots of battles and passing.
