The young cougar wondered out of Lot 450 at around six in the morning, and made its way to a golden chain tree where it stayed for a while. After being videoed and photographed it jumped down from the tree and ran back into the woods.
This film documents the Pileated Woodpeckers of Lot 450 over the past three months, whose forest is being logged, and these grand birds are just outside of the falling line.
The first part of the film is handheld, but when the nest building starts around the halfway mark the footage gets steadier.
