I was working at a uhf station in Green Valley back in 2005 when I made this. I got a few of these types of episodes on the air before the station was closed. In this first episode I featured Überschall a band that plays in Las Vegas. Tim Alexander(primus, a perfect circle) was playing at this particular show. He is a regular in the rotating line up.
The episode starts with an interview with local DJ George Lyons (The Lyons Den). Three quarters in is an interview with Überschall band leader Elvis.
Überschall is a true imrov. band, thats all they play they have no songs. Old but good, Enjoy it.
Here is the first part of THE BOUNDERS playing a party in an alleyway at an early First Friday (prior to THE ARUBA). THE BOUNDERS are an important band in Las Vegas that play music based on an intense interplay among the musicians. Blends of rock, country, funk, and blues are explored in songs that feature extended improvisational jamming. They have been playing around town longer than you have lived here! THE BOUNDERS kick so much ass and deserve your attention! In this set they are in an alleyway, it also seems quite cold.... oh yeah and the set gets broke up and plug is pulled right at the time the band is "warmed up" (part II) Classic. THE BOUNDERS: Jimmy Cressy on Bass and Vocals, Ed Bigelow, guitar and vocals, Pete Sheridan on guitar and Carlos Belmonte on Drums.
here is a live cut from the aruba of a band from long beach called Delta Nove. This is from May 30th 2008. This is the end in a series of tests we conducted to see how making live dvd's on the fly would work.

Selections from an ongoing documentary I have been filming over the last 10 years. I edited this for the Las Vegas Jam Band Society for the 10th Anniversary at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip.
