Jonathon Dutton (Director), and Sean McPhillips (Camera, editing), in association with Brown Sauce Media produced this documentary about the history of the HIFAR nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights in Sydney. In an access-all-areas shoot, we recorded the last days of Australia’s first nuclear reactor’s working life, talking to the scientists and operators who had worked inside HIFAR’s steel dome over the previous 50 years.
Mighty Films produced time lapse footage of the arrival and construction of the Australian Defence Force’s new helicopter aircraft carrier and troop support ship, the largest ship ever commissioned by the ADF. Working closely with engineers and systems staff at BAE’s Williamstown shipyards, we crafted a visually compelling story of this major project for online distribution.
Mighty Films was commissioned to produce a series of films profiling young Australians who had received funding from the General Sir John Monash Foundation to study at some of the worlds top universities.
The films aimed to portray these highly accomplished individuals as ordinary Australians doing extraordinary things.
