Follow me down the Berlin trail

Edda Kruse Rosset is the most interesting person of feature journalist, Torsten Schmitz.
In this film of Edda, she guides us into her Berlin, on the roof of her ex-squat, co-operative living space in Kreuzberg with views across the city and neighbours who are more than neighbours, but family.
This inspiring young lady took the Berlin trail into a whole new inter-generational direction.

Shout Box

  • Lieber Analog | Tom Kretschmer

A CinePoem of Berlins trainstation Ostkreuz before the gigantomanic reconstruction 2005-2007.
The film bespeaks the loss of atmosphere, individuality and social ties, suggests that there is a difficult path to be taken between the trade-offs of necessary change and the preservation of evolved structures. It is an attempt to memorialize in poetic images this decrepit and yet so charming train station at Ostkreuz.
