this is a video I shot last week, in support of Bike 4 Cancer. These two guys are about to cycle the whole of the Tour de France route to raise money for two charities. The 1st is the Oxford primary cancer health care trust & the 2nd is Sail 4 Cancer a charity that give people with Cancer a chance to go on a sailing holiday to try and help them get away from this disease ! You can follow there adventure at wwwbike4cancer.org.
Shot on Eos 5d MK2. In the recent snow we had in the UK. I went down to Bushy Park & filmed the scene. I have also included some stills that I took with the camera. I edited in Final cut pro & imported the photos from Aperture the music is a Garage band sample called Piano Ballard. I have not graded the footage but i converted the shots to black & white in Aperture.
Tower to Tower Challenge 2009. This video is to comemorate the twenty cyclists and three support team who cycled from East Horsely Tower to the Eiffel Tower in 2009 and raised a staggering £24,000 for the Royal Marsden
Video showing the Depth of field at different stops of a 50mm lens about 3ft from the subject. Comparing a Canon Eos 5dmk2 camera and a Sony Dsr 500 wsp camera. The vignetting you can see on the DSR shot is from my Fader ND I used on both cameras to help me achieve the different f stops. The fader ND also seems to have added a bit of a green cast ! I edited all footage and converted the 5dmk2 footage to DV- Pal. The distance between the two soldiers is 5 feet.
The Sony has 3 x 2/3 inch ccd chips. The Canon has a single cmos 36 x 24mm sensor.
