MLS Workshops

Has it been decades since you dusted off your job descriptions? Do they still refer to card catalogs and typewriters? It’s time to haul them out, shake off the cobwebs and jazz them up!

Find out why it’s important to have current, updated job descriptions that meet ADA requirements and see how you can give your job descriptions an extreme makeover. A library director and assistant town manager/HR director will explain how they transformed old dusty job descriptions into new, updated, living documents. Included will be a discussion of their process including approval by governing boards and the town’s clerical union. This session was geared toward directors and other supervisors.

The workshop was presented by Maureen Ambrosino, Library Director at the Westborough Public Library and Kristi Williams, Assistant Town Manager/HR Director for the Town of Westborough.

Workshop recorded live: 8 April 2013, MLS-Marlborough
