Tanya, a young woman living under the radar in Brooklyn, sets off on a troublesome mission to deliver a suitcase of personal things as a favor to an important but distant friend. Tanya asks no questions about the contents of the suitcase and is unaware of the potential dangers she may encounter. She follows her gut instinct and finally reaches out to Cherry Parker, a Private Investigator who was hired by Tanya's family months ago to locate the affluent Runaway.
ABOUT THIS DIY EXPERIMENT
This film was made in the summer of 2011.
The cast was selected and paired up based on their passion for the craft, their playful atitudes and willing personalities, their ability to act and create characters from the ground up.
Several workshops and hours of individual investigations were held to develop character, build scenes and device a shoot script in a collaborative hands on fashion.
Locations were chosen based on how much we could get away with without being too distracted or harassed. New York City is a spectacular place to film. It's indeed a character in of itself. The story takes place in locations not necessary thought of as quintessential NYC, we explored areas in Far Rockaway, Astoria Queens, Long Island City and Washington Heights.
