This is a surgery that I didn't do. It was given to me by a patient, and I use it to demonstrate how not to remove an ovary. This surgeon didn't do a retroperitoneal dissection, and because of that left some endo and some ovary on the pelvic sidewall, and came very close to injuring the ureter.
THis is a long video from a 10 hour surgery, including removing an endometrioma on the left ovary, lots of endo on her tubes, a partial thickness bowel resection, and removing diaphragmatic endo. Lest you think her tubes are trashed, she got pregnant 2 months after this surgery!
