Creating incredible wedding films is a passion of mine, so in order to make sure that I can devote my energies to each and every frame of my couple's films, I accept very few weddings each year. Katrina & Patrick's wedding was held on their families private estate overlooking the Maine coastline. Three beautiful properties all overlooking the ocean.
While couples (brides mostly) always hope for good weather, I sometimes think they forget that nobody really remembers normal anything. On Katrina & Patrick's wedding day we had almost 12 hours of continuous thunder & lighting, but with very little rain. Because the event was held overlooking York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean we had a virtually unlimited view of the sky. This wide open view allowed all of the guests to watch one of the most amazing lightning shows that mother nature could put on. So, while Katrina & Patrick's wedding was beautiful and well planned out, it was the weather that will be the story that everyone talks about when referring to their wedding day.
When we film a couple's wedding day it is our goal to capture more than just the planned 'events.' It is to capture the spirit of the couple, the spirit of the wedding, their love, and everything about the day that makes it memorable. On this day, the story was their heart-felt love for each other, as well as the perfect weather bestowed upon them from the heavens above. I know that Katrina was hoping for blue skies, but I am willing to bet that she wouldn't change a thing about her wedding day - looking back. This film will allow her to look back and see just how amazing and perfect everything turned out.
