Hosted by HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau, this webinar debuts the National Action Plan produced by the NAPPSS coalition. This framework, built upon on the foundation of the Theory of Planned Behavior, clarifies the vision of the coalition and sets forward a path for measurable impact by national, state and local organizations working to reduce Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID).

The NAPPSS project marks a new opportunity to safeguard the lives of infants at a time when understanding and reducing the risks of sleep-related infant deaths is advancing on multiple fronts. Key components are in place, including expanded professional safe sleep guidelines and a reinvigorated national campaign that has moved the needle from Back To Sleep to Safe To Sleep. But until now there has been no national coordinated strategy to engage the full set of partners to make safe sleep a national norm.
