El Rancho de las Golondrinas (The Ranch of the Swallows) is New Mexico's nonprofit living history museum. With 34 historical structures on 200 scenic acres along I-25 south of Santa Fe, the museum attracts nearly 60,000 visitors a year. The museum property dates to the first decade of the 1700s, and some buildings are original from that period. Other buildings were either threatened historic structures moved to the museum from elsewhere in New Mexico, or meticulous recreations of 18th and 19th century structures found in New Mexico.
