The Courage In Student Journalism Awards, presented by the Student Press Law Center, the National Scholastic Press Association, and the Kent State Center for Scholastic Journalism recognizes students and advisers for their dedication and bravery to stand up for freedom of the student press. Henry Rome and Seth Zweifler of the 'Spoke' at Conestoga High School won for the student category and Barb Thill of the 'Statesman' at Stevenson High School won for the adviser category.
