Carnival Corporation introduced its new Ocean technology and experience platform to the world at the 2017 CES Show during the event's opening address. The keynote included several videos produced by TinMen (Orlando, FL) for Carnival and their Global Experience & Innovation team.
The Medallion Experience video from the keynote showcases the vision behind the Ocean Medallion, a wearable device that enables a guest's seamless interface with the system. Along with the Ocean Compass software portal, guests can partake in the features of the experience platform. The hardware and software rolls out across the Princess Cruises fleet in 2017. These videos were produced over the course of more than a year, filming in various locations around the US, the Caribbean, Italy and Mexico. Most of the principal photography was done in 4K to future-proof the content. In addition to the CES keynote videos, this content was also used for various marketing purposes.
Cameras included the ARRI ALEXA Mini, Canon C300, C300 MkII, EOS 5D, Sony A7s, GoPro and DJI. All editing was performed in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Both DaVinci Resolve and the Lumetri color controls within Premiere Pro were used for color grading.
