  3. The first installment of our microEPIC kitty kitty series. You can see more on the website kittehkitteh dot com.

    12 years in the making and pretty much as good as Avatar though considerably shorter. The bulk of the work on this micro has faded into the distant mists of time but if memory serves Damian Johnson did a couple of sketches of a cat once and Matthias Bjurstrum modeled it, Rodi Kaya rigged it and James Kirkham blessed it with soft downy fur. The rest of the work was done far more recently, Ben Crowe animated it and Antoine Perez worked his ass off rendering, comping and mending all of my stupid errors. Thank you all.

    Se gastaron unos U$s300 en extras.

    Filmed in the 2006, it took 6 months of work (distributed throughout 2 years…) to make almost the 90 takings that appear in the short one. 3dMax, FumeFx, Glu3d, AfterEffects, Photoshop and Premiere. They were spent a U$s300 in extras.

  5. 1923 aka Heaven + 1925 aka Hell won the Animate OPEN: Digitalis Audience Prize at animateprojects.org in 2011.

    1923 aka Heaven is one of two animation loops directed by Max Hattler, inspired by the work of French outsider artist Augustin Lesage. 1923 is based on Lesage's painting 'A symbolic Composition of the Spiritual World' from 1923.

    The second loop, 1925 aka Hell, is based on Lesage's painting 'A symbolic Composition of the Spiritual World' from 1925. It lives here: vimeo.com/maxhattler/1925

    The films were created during 5 days in February 2010 with students at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark.
