In an active Tlicho community in the Northwest Territories, sixteen-year-old Ori's life becomes chaotic when her secret becomes harder to keep silent. Breaking The Silence tells the story of Ori, a sixteen-year-old Tlicho girl from the Northwest Territories who is a victim of a violent assault. The film explores the lives of young Aboriginals living in the north as they struggle with finding their identity in a world that is quickly spiraling out of control.
