From its founding in 1849 as a pioneer-era school for orphans, Pacific University has always been about making a difference in people's lives. Today, as one of the finest liberal arts and health professions universities in the country, that spirit of caring and service still pervades every aspect of campus life, and fuels the desire to have an even greater impact on our students, our communities and the region.

This commitment to excellence has led to the most ambitious growth and development program in the University's nearly 160-year history. Pacific's future is bright, with many new facilities and programs, and a burgeoning student body. Pacific University remains a place where individuals find their passion; where they embrace their individuality; and where exceptional students are transformed into exceptional citizens of the world.
