On March 3rd PASTE Magazine premiered the short documentary Paleface: The Making Of "One Big Party" (directed by Bill Antonucci). PALEFACE is an indie-folk duo featuring Paleface "PF" himself and girlfriend drummer Monica "Mo" Samalot that earlier in the Fall released their joyous and carefree album "One Big Party" (Ramseur Records), produced by Paul Ena Kostabi (Cults, The Willowz). In this footage, the duo share the creative process of writing, recording, and performing. Paleface says their songs are always evolving, alive and growing, in part because of the vital energy they exchange with fans that come to see them play at the 200+ shows they perform a year.

Paleface was schooled by friend Daniel Johnston and soon discovered by the legendary Danny Fields at an NYC Antifolk open mic. He has since released over a dozen records including two major label releases. Paleface has influenced and inspired a wide range of artists including Grammy Award recipients Kimya Dawson, who described Paleface as “one of my favorite people on the planet” and Beck who called Paleface “a big influence on my early work” in Annie Leibovitz's book "American Music.” Paleface has also written and appeared on three albums by The Avett Brothers. In this footage, Scott Avett recounts being “blown away” the first time he met Paleface: “He was barking and singing and just throwing passion out. We were just immediately inspired and ignited by the fire he was throwing” . PALEFACE is currently touring internationally. For more info:
