This video explains how frequency domain fluorescence lifetime imaging is done with the new pco.flim camera system, which uses a special CMOS image sensor, QMFLIM2, with modulatable pixels. It can be modulated from 5 kHz - 40 MHz allowing to measure fluorescence lifetime from ns to µs. The frequency synthesizer for the generation of the modulation signals is integrated into the camera.
