Initially, an acclaimed comedy short film series entitled PERIODS. The comedy collective/production company expanded into longer form narrative and commercial content. Their first film, Breakup at a Wedding (released by Oscilloscope Labs, directed by Victor & written by the team) was called “the breakout comedy of the year” by Death & Taxes. That film was followed by the critically acclaimed coming-of-age comedy, Hollidaysburg (released by Starz Digital, directed by Anna & written by the team) the making of which was the subject of the docu-series The Chair on Starz Network.
The original short film series eventually became their third feature film, PERIODS. (recently released by Oscilloscope Labs, directed by Victor and created by Victor & Anna) charting the course of humanity from the big bang to the end of life as we know it. Time Out NY rated the series #15 in Funniest Online Series of All Time (before Drunk History but after Between Two Ferns, we’re so cool with that) Periods. Films has worked with Adult Swim, Anonymous Content, Funny or Die, College Humor, PBS, Paramount, Warner Bros., & Nerdist Industries. Their work has been featured in the LA Times, Huffington Post, EW’s Pop Watch, New York Magazine’s Vulture Blog, Jezebel, The Hairpin, and, yes, even High Times.
PERIODS., the series, was honored to be apart of the Tribeca Film Festival’s inaugural NOW program in 2014. A very rough version of the feature film was the opening night film at the HollyShorts FIlm Festival at Grauman’s Chinese Theater on August 10th, 2012. PERIODS. played a special showcase at both the Berkshires Intl Film Festival & the Raindance Film Festival in 2013.
