Phido By HATCH

  1. Welcome to Phido. Phido provides a fast, beautiful and fun way for you to understand how your culture and environment connect, all through your own individual content-sharing platform. Just snap a photo, add comments and favourite the posts you most like.
Through an intuitive and engaging user experience, individuals create mini photo-sharing networks that build stickier communities and brands. This information helps designers, consultants, community managers, change professionals, marketers and retailers better understand how particular communities shape and experience their environment.
Throughout a chosen period, you receive short messages, each containing a single question to answer via photos and/or text response. Questions can be bespoke to your user group or from the Phido selection, such as:
    • Where is your favourite place to work?
    • What represents your community culture?
Why photos? Research shows that asking people to take, draw or look at pictures triggers a different part of the brain and generates more thoughtful responses. And, since people enjoy using it, breaks through the boredom of survey fatigue.
Phido, visual storytelling for your community culture.

Phido is a photographic tool developed by HATCH Analytics to help your business better understand where your culture and space connect. This information helps the project team, designers, workplace consultants and change managers better understand how culture and personal values of employees are supported by their physical environment.

Throughout a period of a 10 working days, select staff receive email messages each containing a single question. An example of these questions include “What is your favourite place in the office?” or “What inspires you at work?” Participants simply reply to the message with their photo and a short message.

Why photos? Because data shows that asking people to take, draw or look at pictures triggers a different part of the brain and thus generates different, more thoughtful responses than just interview questions. The output is also visual, which helps the business create an instant mood board of what is working and isn't in the space. This can act as a terrific “health check” to a new office space or an excellent pre and post project benchmark.
