Philip Thompson is an award-winning producer, editor, and video content developer specializing in the creation of High Definition video and interactive media. He grew up and lived in Athens, GA, before moving to Savannah in 1997 to earn an M.F.A. in film at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Since then, he has produced dozens of projects in the corporate and broadcast arenas, working for local, national, and international clients. Typically, this work consists of the coordination and management of the many outside resources that contribute to a production, from the hiring of film/video crews and on-screen or voice talent through delivery of the finished product to media outlets. His portfolio includes material sourced from both standard and high definition video, as well as from 35mm film, and he is an experienced videographer and non-linear editor with an advanced knowledge of video compression and its use in Flash®, DVD, and other interactive applications. His audio work extends from radio spots to on-hold messages, narration, and sound-to-picture editorial work. Philip's skill-set combines the mental focus demanded by stressful, deadline-oriented environments with the insight required to facilitate the creative team's vision for a given project. His strengths include exemplary organizational and communication skills, a sound grasp of technical issues, and the ability to collaborate well with key stakeholders. A sampling of his clients includes Memorial Health University Medical Center, the Savannah Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Tybee Island Tourism Council, First Federal Bank, Cascadia Nashville, Embraer Aircraft, Turner Classic Movies, UNICEF, and many others.
