    “Embodied Spirituality”
    Erik Dutton, guest speaker

Everything we know, or can know, comes to us through our physical senses. Join Erik as he explores a few of the implications of this built-in limitation, and some practices he finds helpful to work with this fundamental fact of life rather than struggling against it.

    Bridging Ceremony
    Rev. Holly Brown, Ministerial Intern

Today we celebrate the UU tradition of "Bridging" into adulthood. Such rites of passage are even more important while we remain virtual as it allows us to collectively celebrate a joyful transition.

“We are stronger together! Corinthians 12:12-20”
Pastor Mac from NAACP, guest speaker

When Paul was writing his letter to this church at Corinth, there was a lot of division, friction, and a lot of difference. Like most human beings, they were not handling their differences well. So Paul wrote to them to try to get them to understand that embracing differences would be the gateway to their spiritual growth.

    “Finding Wholeness and Acceptance”
    Rev. Holly Brown

The journey to find wholeness both within one's self and in a supportive community can be challenging for many people. That challenge is magnified for LGBTQIA individuals. Society far too often struggles to understand or support Trans, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual people. Living authentically and sharing one's whole self publicly can be dangerous and at times even deadly. Unitarian Universalists pride themselves in being accepting and in solidarity with the LGBTQIA community. There are still lessons to be learned about what such solidarity requires to create a space where the wholeness and holiness is not just welcomed but celebrated.
