  1. The Schengen Files is a movie about my most recent trip to Europe. During the first three months of 2011 I was fortunate enough to climb in both Fontainbleau, France and Ticino, Switzerland. This video will document some of the hardest climbs I accomplished during the three month period. The video is planned to premiere later this Summer after it has been edited all together. This video is about the purity of climbing, the high level of psyche that I have for climbing at my limit, as well as the amazing rock that these areas have. This film was shot to document some of the hardest climbs I have ever done and to show my perceptions of the truly magnificent climbing within the confines of the Schengen Union.

Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy!

  3. 16 year old prAna Ambassador Enzo Oddo made his first Bouldering trip ever to Bishop, California.

He spent most of his time at the Buttermilks, climbing classics like ‘Ambrosia’ and ‘The Beautiful And The Damned’- both very difficult climbs with top outs that are high off the deck.

With his quiet demeanor and effortless style, he took it all in stride but clearly established himself in the American bouldering scene.

Check out the video with a few of the highlights from his trip…

  5. I started climbing when I was 8 years old on the legendary French cliffs in Verdon, Buoux. At the age of 15, I had sent my first 8b+ (Putain Putain) and had become a climbing Junior World Champion. I decided to take a break from climbing so I could devote myself completely to the pole vault as it was something that I was really excited about. I vaulted for 3 years and became champion of France only to realize that climbing was my means of expression and a lifestyle that suits me. I can not live without climbing. Traveling, meeting new people, learning and challenging myself is the life I want. I have improved my climbing abilities (multiple 8c & a 8a block) and competition results (3rd in the European Championships - Imst). Ceus & Spain are the places where I feel the best climbing and want o be more often. I discovered Bishop in the U.S. and Smith Rock and they are a different world! Now I want to discover more climbing hot spots in the United States. I think I can still push myself, to express my passions at an even higher level and push my limits!

prAna, an ancient Sanskrit word for breath, life and vitality of the spirit, has helped guide our actions and lift our aspirations since day one.

We started out two decades ago making clothing that worked well for climbing and yoga. It turned out that the clothing worked well for lots of other passions too, so we added new products with "purpose" in mind and scoured the world for design inspiration.

What's changed since then?

Not much - and a lot. We've grown a bunch, but most of our original employees are still here. We participate with like-minded folks who want to promote conservation and create positive change, which reflects the same intention as the old days, just taken up a few notches. Organic cotton, fair trade and wind power initiatives are on the short list of what we support.

We are inspired by athletes like climber Chris Sharma - who's been with us from the beginning - and yoginis like Shiva Rea.

Looking back, we think that the name prAna fits us pretty well. Looking ahead (because we love change), we're excited to see what the future holds.

That's our story & we welcome your feedback...
