Reza Wreckage 10 in 10, Episode 2
A Wells-Walker Society Production
PROVIDENCE, RI - On the third episode of the Reza Wreckage 10 in 10, digital storyteller and multimedia producer Reza Clifton (Reza Rites / Venus Sings / The #AmbitiousBlackFeminist) talks to Peter Wells, the Publisher of The Providence American - a community newspaper serving communities of color in Rhode Island. He and Reza discuss the value of the paper as well as the newly formed SNEABJ - Southern New England Association of Black Journalists.
This episode also features a short segment from a conversation between Reza and Jose Ramirez, her co-host from Sonic Watermelons - a weekly radio show produced by Reza for Brown Student and Community Radio. The excerpt comes from an on-air conversation the two had about the recent judicial ruling in the Dominican Republic regarding citizenship status in the DR and a change that will effect many in the country, including the thousands of once-were-citizens of Haitian descent.
