  2. I was given the musical track heard here to make a video for an upcoming release on the Berlin based minimal techno label FRUCHT.

The song reminded me of robots, buttons, technological gizmos, I started thinking about footage I had seen or downloaded over the years. I remembered a special film I'd been saving for the right inspiration. It was a Superman cartoon made in 1941 called 'The Mechanical Monsters' In those days TV wasn't around yet, so people would have seen this 10 minute cartoon before the main attraction in the cinema.

This is my remix of that cartoon. Its as close to the superhero genre as I'm gonna get (and considering that I edited Superman completely out of his own cartoon...don't expect much in that way from me :P

  3. Brixton has degenerated into a disregarded area inhabited by London's new robot workforce - robots built and designed to carry out all of the tasks which humans are no longer inclined to do. The mechanical population of Brixton has rocketed, resulting in unplanned, cheap and quick additions to the skyline.

The film follows the trials and tribulations of young robots surviving at the sharp end of inner city life, living the predictable existence of a populous hemmed in by poverty, disillusionment and mass unemployment. When the Police invade the one space which the robots can call their own, the fierce and strained relationship between the two sides explodes into an outbreak of violence echoing that of 1981.

  5. As featured on

Combat robots aren't exactly new. The first season of the Comedy Central show Battlebots aired in 2000 and the games had been going strong since 1997.

What's interesting, however, is how 11 years of robot evolution have affected the sport. Back in 2002, the spinners ruled the day. But today, robots are meaner than ever; and the sports fans just as obsessed. Why do they do it? Because for three glorious minutes, the world melts away.

We took the best fight footage we had and put it in this short videoé We'll try to have some outtakes up soon, as I know you love to see robots kicking ass.
