John Wood came by SRC-TV to discusses his time spent living in the Serengeti Mara region of East Africa. This film, shot during 1975 and 1976, explores the plight of the Maasai people and the high price they may have to pay for our addiction to cell phones. The development of an 800 mile highway from Lake Victoria to the African coast threatens the Serengeti ecosystem. John addresses this issue, its implications and reminisces about his experiences working as an accidental assistant to Shep Abbott, an independent filmmaker on location for National Geographic.
