Sadhana Forest started its ecological revival and sustainable living work on December 19th 2003.
The vision of its founders, Yorit and Aviram Rozin, is to transform 70 acres of severely eroded, arid land on the outskirts of Auroville, India. The project has expanded to Haiti, and is beginning its 3rd project in Samburu, Kenya.

Following the devastating earth quake that hit Haiti in 2010, Sadhana Forest sent a team to a remote part on the south-eastern part of Haiti, in the region of Anse-a-Pitre. Sadhana Forests aim in Haiti was to introduce a model of sustainability to a country devastated from social and environmental hardships. Our main focus at the moment is introducing the Maya Nut tree which is a highly nutritional and beneficial tree. In Haiti we have distributed and planted more the 80,000 trees.

In 2012 a team from Sadhana Forest went to Kenya to explore possibilites of creating a project in Kenya. The area chosen for the project was Samburu County in Northern Kenya. Sadhana Forest Kenya hand-in hand with the Samburu will plant in local Shambas (family farms) a diverse range of trees, shrubs, and grasses that can be used to provide a more nutritionally diverse range of foods.
