A New Stem Cell Client at Safari Veterinary Care Centers as of May 2017!
Zipper is an 8 Year old neutered male unable to walk for 26 days because of IVDD at the T12 L1 interspace with compression IVDD. Zipper received Stem Cell Therapy and decompression. Now, two weeks after stem cells, Zipper is doing very well. Go Zipper!
Very few doxies are not interested in food, but Zipper is one of them. So our typical exercises using food treats to encourage "sit to stand" physical therapy does not work with Zipper. So we must get creative to make the rear legs move with no fear. Zipper is progressing well since his stem cell therapy.
From not walking for 26 days - to Running in a matter of weeks!
Zipper is a 8 year old neutered male Dapple Dachshund who was paralyzed with IVDD and treated with Stem Cells and Surgical Decompression. Look at him go now!!!
May 26th, 2015 -Scout's Arrival date @ Safari Veterinary Care Centers
At 6 years old, Scout has IVDD and became acutely paralyzed. With no movement or Deep Pain Perception in his rear legs, his owners were considering putting him to sleep. Stem cell injections literally saved his life and restored his walking within 30 days!
Watch his journey to healing with Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy.
Although IVDD affects all breeds of dogs, as many as 1 in 5 miniature Dachshunds will suffer from the pain and impairment of disk compression.

We are certified Canine Rehabilitation Specialists operating with the best specialized tools and modalities in an environment of fear free encouragement. Fear Free means we first build trust, we first establish a line of communication, we first reassure, then we train. Dogs have an innate desire to please and we tap into that desire, showing a pet how to please us and how to please their self (by receiving treats) to exercise the part of the body needing the movement.
