On December 26, 2004 an earthquake struck in the Indian Ocean triggering a devastating Tsunami that killed over 200,000 people. Over 130, 000 of the dead were from Indonesian province of Aceh. Before the tsunami we had been shooting a documentary on the decades long conflict there as the Acehnese were engaged in struggle for independence from the Indonesian government. The 2004 Tsunami struck however, and obliterated entire coastlines of the region and we started conducting interviews with the survivors. Now 10 years later we are going back - to track down the people we interviewed. Where has life taken them? Do they have families? Are they still alive? Follow us as we revisit Aceh on a journey exploring the human condition, a journey of discovery and hope.
