This ident gives the viewer a 'snapshot' through time in the form of polaroid pictures. The photo's build up in a pile and eventually a polaroid of the channel logo is placed upon the top of the pile. Reiterating that the channel shows history programs.
The animation for the Sport channel is in keeping with the theme of simple/clean for the Select brand. Different types of sport balls bounce across the screen, with the end tennis ball revealing the channel name by hitting the camera lens and bouncing away.
This animation is the station ident for 'Select'. It features the logo rotating whilst the camera pans up. Towards the end of the animation the 'S' in select forms a power button by a line sliding into the rotating circles.
I took a module in TV Motion Graphics at De Montfort University earlier in the year. Our brief was to brand a 'fictional' television station called Select. We also had to create 4 sub-channel idents within After Effects and one generic ident for the Select Station. This animation is for the channel 'Science and Nature'. The fluttering butterfly is a 2d image, cut and each wing movement is key framed.
