WSU Athletics came to us needing player introductions for their newly installed video board.
My role was to use footage that our video crew shot on green screen and to come up with introductions. I was responsible for the design, animation and execution of the player introductions. There movies created for the 15 men's and 14 women's basketball players.
These are currently running at WSU home games for both men and women.
Key Technology had a new product and needed to announce and explain what the new product would do for their customers. So they came to us.
I helped come up with the concept and look for this video. I worked closely with our 3D modeler and animator to create the looks and shots we needed. I was also involved with the green screen shoots with the actors to get the shots we needed for compositing.
I composited the actors from the green screen shoots into the 3D scenes as well as some 2D animations into the footage and 3D scenes.
I learned a lot on this project. About 3D lighting, animation and rendering; as well as compositing video footage into a 3D scene. Initially I think this project was a little beyond my abilities, but I was able to learn a lot and become a better motion graphics artist and compositor.
