With the help of Room and Board and also A+D: Architecture + Design Museum in Los Angeles, we presented the latest media from the Shelter project on November 15th, 2012. The media includes a recent interview of Eric Cesal of Architecture for Humanity. He talks about his journey to AfH and into public interest design. There's also an interview with Dan Pitera of University of Detroit, Mercy. He talks about The Alley Project, a collaborative neighborhood revitalization. Tom Fisher, professor of architecture at University of Minnesota and Dean of the College of Design, talks about public interest architecture.

Join A+D Museum for a special inCOLLABORATION screening and panel event at the Room & Board showroom in Culver City, CA. The evening, sponsored by Room & Board, will premiere new media from Shelter, a documentary media project chronicling architects, designers, urban planners and engineers who are using their design skills to create social change.
Following the screening of Shelter, panelists, led by moderator Frances Anderton, will discuss developments in public interest design, its relevance to the design and architecture professions, and whether the practice and growing interest in public interest design will result in lasting change in the way architecture is practiced. The evening will benefit A+D Museum, and there will be a raffle for a $500 Room and Board gift certificate.
