A few years ago I was going through a tough time emotionally. To deal with it I wrote a song called Emotional through which I expressed my feelings by playing killer solos on my keytar. Because 2017 was such a tough time for so many people and January can be bleak, I decided to make a video to release on Blue Monday in order to provide some catharsis for the world and express our collective Emotion through the Power of Keytar. If you’re going through a hard time, if you’re down in the dumps, if you’re glum as all heck, this one’s for you.

All sounds from original footage. Took a long time to edit! Thanks to my nieces for being good sports, and my sister, brother-in-law and Mum and Dad for putting up with the noise. If you enjoy this video you'll probably enjoy this one too! vimeo.com/59976840
Thanks everyone for sharing and for your lovely comments! My nieces are going to be very excited. I know I am!
Many people over the net are mentioning Lasse Gjertsen's video 'Amateur' so I just wanted to give a hat tip to that. I don't think I'd seen it before making this, or if I had I'd forgotten! I just got excited when I found out my niece had gotten a drum kit and I wanted to make it look like she was instantly incredible - playing really fast drum and bass beats. This was the only method I could think of. But hey, all credit due to Lasse for doing it first. The guy's clearly a massive champion!
