Powder Tuesday & Thursday at Alpental (Alpy) during a late March storm that brought 20+ inches in only a few days. Rafe and I had chair 2 to ourselves on Tuesday, and got a few runs in on Elevator Gate - but pretty much owned Breakover.
Randy & I paired up on Thursday and finally sent some lines on Chaka Cliffs and then dominated Breakover. Timed the opening of Nash Gate perfectly and after a hairball icy traverse, we skied what we think was one of our best runs ever down Martin Bowl. Untouched. Quality Pow. Sustained and super fun.
Scott & JJ went shralping at Alpy the day after a pretty big storm. The drive up was pretty hairy, but not much different than that in the Seattle area. Chair 2 was amazing, but all we rode was Breakover time and time again since nobody else was riding there which made for some rpetty gnar turns.
A quiet weekend at Hyak just before the Arctic Storm hit Western Washignton. It was blue ice groomers when we got there, and we almost left. Then it started dumping some great quality snow so we got a few good runs on the front side before we bailed and sat in traffic at the pass.
I am not sure why Alison acted like a monkey or tried to push me over.
