George opened their first school in Bangladesh, providing education to over 200 children in the local community. The school also provides initiatives for parents, including health awareness evenings,and vocational training centres for adults specialising in spoken English, IT skills, craft making and sewing.

Providing a crèche facility is the law in Bangladesh, but many are inadequate.George works with Phulki, a non-governmental organisation that trains staff to run its factory crèches. In 2012, George launched another training initiative that helps employees gain new skills that can lead to promotion and higher salaries.
