This massive and dramatic sculpture for the 2017 Progress Conference held at the Melbourne Town Hall takes it's cue from an incredible natural phenomenon known as murmuration. Massive flocks of starlings dramatically changing direction as if with one brain. A beautiful metaphor for how the movement of one individual can influence political climate and cause sweeping change.
The LOST TRADES FAIR in Kyneton attracted thousands of people who all came to see amazing makers of the old world. Celebrating hand made; luthiers, knife makers, black smiths, furniture makers, spoon smiths, shoe makers, cobbers and more all put their rare skills on display in what turned out to be an incredibly fun day.
Leather is prepped using laser cut templates, bonded with heat activated film and assembled with fixtures to ensure alignment. Students learn latest industry leather making techniques to produce top quality products and the required tooling and templates for high quality mass production.
