1. Beautiful day at the Davis Island Garden Club for the wedding of Lindsey & Andrew Meyer shot by Tampa Videographers celebrationsoftampabay.com/.

We started at the Epicurean Hotel, which is a great hotel for getting ready, it beats the crowded Downtown Tampa Hotels, offers some great areas for photos. The photographer was Marissa Moss Photography marissa-moss.com/, her and her husband were great to work with. Ben with Grant Hemond & Associates granthemond.com/ was the DJ. He is one of the most personable DJs you will find and really knows how to connect with the crowd, as well as having great timing with music. The string trio was by Strings Attached, very good, although the music on this highlight video wasn't from them. We will post the Long Version on you tube "Complete Wedding at Davis Island Garden Club", where we will feature their music. I am rarely impressed with wedding cordinators, but thought Chrissy Craft with Ideal Design Events idealdesignevents.com/index2.php?v=v1 was really on top of things and yet at the same time didn't interfere with the photography & video. Lindsey chose great colors, Navy & Blush which provided a great contrast with the colorful garden backgrounds. Just so nice when you have great experience professionals on a wedding, everything flows very smooth and most important the bride and groom end up happy.

Thanks to NeedtoBreath for copyrights to "Something Beautiful" and Analog Heart & Marie Hines for copyrights to "When I'm With You. 2 great songs that really fit well for this video.

  2. Highlights from wedding of Indya & Bradley Dollison at the Florida Aquarium. The ceremony was in the Coral Reef Room, and reception in the main Lobby. Celebrations of Tampa Bay provided the Videographer and DJ for this wedding. celebrationsoftampabay.com/
If having a wedding at the Florida Aquarium, you certainly want to have a videographer and photorapher who are very skilled and who have shot weddings in the Coral Reef Room. It is always challenging shooting in this room as you do not want lights to reflect on the glass, so we use low light lenses which are able to shoot without any light, except that we did use one light in the back. We do a diagram planning the placement of the cameras that looks like a football play diagram. To shoot with 5 Cameras and to have the right cameras and the right lenses at the right place, it takes some planning. The conditions for this wedding we made even more challenging than normal due to 180 guests, and with draping around the room, made the Coral Reef Room even smaller than normal.
We used 1)a Canon 70d with a Sigma f1.8 18-35mm lense upfront. 2) a Canon 7d with a f1.8 85mm on the right side, 3) another Canon 70d with a f1.8 50mm lense on the left side. It would have probably been even better to use a 85mm Lense for this side as well to get a tight shot on the grooms face. In the back we used a 4) Canon 5d mark 3 with a 50mm lense to get a wide shot of the Aquarium Glass and a 5) a Canon xf-305 with a tight shot from back to capture the Audio.
The Florida Aquarium is a great place for a wedding, they now have a new getting ready room on the 3rd floor. This was the first time I had a chance to shoot in this room, but unfortunately only had about 5 minutes. The bride got ready at The Embassy Suites downtown than came to the Aquarium. Now with this nice room, there is really no reason to get ready at a local hotel, as it can make things hectic for the bride and photoraphers and videographers with parking and rushing around. 3. Wedding of Dayna & Robert Menendez at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa. We started with the bride at the Barrymore Hotel which is right next to the Straz Center. The ceremony was underneath a tent right on the Riverwalk. The Straz Center provides a great atmosphere for weddings, plenty of great areas for photography. The Waterfalls are ideal for bridal party shots. We also utilized the old railroad bridge Cass Street Bridge. It was alittle tedius getting the girls out on the bridge, but makes for some great shots as you can see. For more information on weddings at The Straz Center see strazcenter.org/Dining-Catering/Weddings.

The reception was at the 1930 Grande Room in Ybor City. The night lighting is great along 7th Avenue. We did shots with the bride and groom in middle of street, and would have loved to do much more, but time didn't allow it. At the Grande Room the guests were treated to some amazing food from the Stone Chef stonechef.com/. For information on weddings at The Grande Room see granderoom.com/weddings/

  4. The wedding of Kerin & William at the Florida Aquarium, surrounded by Tropical Fish, Sea Turtles, and a shark shot by Tampa Photographers celebrationsoftampabay.com/

Kerin & Billy met in 2010 in the Soda Can aisle working at Publix. Billy was an Assistant Store Manager and Kerin a Customer Service Staff Associate. They worked together for a year before they realized the potentional of a great relationship. Kerin had a flat tire after work one day and Billy so conviently had a tire air compressor in his car and the rest is history.

The ceremony in the Coral Reef Room of the Florida Aquarium. We love shooting a bride and groom with the back ground of a 500,000 gallon, floor to ceiling tank with over 2,000 Coral Reef fish and sea life. We used low light lenses for this. This allows us to not have to use lights which will reflext in the glass and allows the video to caputre a accurate image of the surroundings. It is just, breathtaking, a photographers dream. While shooting the bride and groom we had a Sea Turtle swimning in the background (see video). In the Tunnel Tank area we were lucky to get muliple shots of Stingrays in background while shooting bride and groom.

  5. Gorgeous wedding overlooking the lake at Tampa Palms Country Club. We had the groom fly the drone filming his bride, cute segment (see video).
As a Tampa Photographer(celebrationsoftampabay.com/), we love a wedding at Tampa Palms Country Club. There are many areas that make great backgrounds and all in a small area. The Ceremony is in the beautiful circular veranda that over looks the lake with a water fountain. On this wedding the bride had some draping which covered some of the nice background that you would normally have for the ceremony. The rich green grass along with the trees and the water fountain, make a great back drop when shooting straight up the aisle. At Tampa Palms you really don't need much decorating for the ceremony because the natural surroundings provided a great look. If you have a arch or draping, it covers some of the nice natural surroundings.
The reception was in the adjacent ballroom which is a nice size for a bigger wedding. There is even enough room to fly the drone, as we did for the last dance.

What we did like about the draping is that it allowed us to tape a GoPro right on the frame shooting down on the ceremony. Normally at Tampa Palms we would mount a Go Pro up high like this, however it would have to be taped to the wall and thus would have to be at an angle.

The antique wooden bridge provides a nice area for wedding photography. In this case we used a drone which provided stunning shots flying over the water. The sun sets through the hanging moss on the oak treas also is great for a wedding at Tampa Palms.
Another great advantage to Tampa Palms is they have rooms on site for the bride and groom which have nice balconies and artistic french doors. This allows some great pre-ceremony photography and video.
