  1. The Swiss pavilion at the 2012 Expo Korea combines a sensual experience with insights into the importance of the glacial landscape as a water reservoir.

Under the title “Birth of an Ocean – it’s in your hands. " the pavillion focuses on glaciers as important water reserves and is staged in immersive and emotional spaces.
The visitors' attention is drawn to important details with minimalist audiovisual performances - such as projections on the palms of their hands. The beauty and fragility of Switzerland’s ancient glaciers is revealed in a three-dimensional panorama of a glacier. "The Source of Knowledge", symbolizes Switzerland's responsibility for water, it’s knowledge about water, and the delight Switzerland takes in water. The room is mirrored in its entirety, and it really is the dramatic highlight of the exhibit.

  2. The five-minute 360° audiovisual show was created in the middle of Europe’s highest cave, at about 3,500 metres above sea level. It dramatises the overwhelming majesty and fragile beauty of glaciers. In an immersive performance the visitor experiences an amazing panorama of the Alps projected on crystalline walls. The orchestral soundtrack combined with film demonstrates how human ingenuity can make nature's awe-inspiring beauty accessible to all.

Using the power of technology, the dark cave is converted into a breathtaking panorama of Alpine poetry using a 360° camera technique specially developed for this project. It's an audiovisual homage to the majestic beauty of the mountains.

  3. "Zoo Mari“ is a temporary exhibition pavilion, presenting Barcelona’s new oceanic zoo, which is currently under reconstruction.
The exhibition developed by Generales de Producciones y Diseno, S.A. (GPD S.A.) consists of two parts: One is the entrance area that stretches out like a long corridor and introduces themes of the newly constructed zoo and informs about current projects. The other one is the audiovisual highlight at the end of this corridor: a space that is 4,5m high and whose completely mirrored walls are tilted in a 71° angle. Six projectors play images on the 70 sqm floor, creating the illusion of infinity and being lifted out of space and time.

Tamschick Media+Space GmbH developed the exhibitions’ media content. Inspired by Antoni Gaudi’s original style that plays with smooth organic patterns and that is inextricably linked with the city of Barcelona, an accessible immersive kaleidoscope was created.

The visitor is immersed into a colourful and constantly transforming world of animals and underwater life. One moment he is in the middle of a school of fish, then he walks through a thick mangrove forest, the next moment he joins a camel caravan in the savannah at sunset and suddenly he finds himself face to face with a chameleon. Also on display are urban scenarios, famous architectural sites and Catalan mosaics. Visitors of all ages are touched by this overwhelming beauty of images. The kaleidoscope is open to the public from March 26 2011 till June 26 2011. The sound concept was developed by the sound designers of BLUWI. The interactive floor is an installation by Emotique S.L from Barcelona.

    Technics:

    Projectionarea: 8.4 x 8.4 x 4,5m
6 Ground Projections (DLP Panasonic, 1920x1080 pixel)
    Sound Installation with 8 Speakers.

  4. For the London PANASONIC convention in 2011 TAMSCHICK MEDIA+SPACE GmbH developed a three-dimensional 360° corporate show. This exciting 360° audio-visual show combined 2D projections with 103inch 3D plasma screens, creating a new space experience. One moment media content from the walls flowed into the big screens. And, the next moment the 3D screens sent out visual signals, generating immersive images that took over the entire room. The viewer was seated on a stage that was surrounded by projections walls and 3D flat screens. Then, once he had put on his 3D glasses, he started his journey through the new world of three-dimensionality. Panasonic presented its new 3D technology and its benefits for areas, like sports, film and medicine by first showing media content in the classical 2D way. Then, the flat images slowly turned into the third dimension.

In cooperation with PANASONIC Visual Inc., Tokyo, the technical implementation of 3D contents was realized carefully. This was an exciting challenge for the 3D innovators who explored the characteristics of three-dimensional perception by starting off with two-dimensional depictions.

  5. Saudi Arabia presents itself with what is probably the most imposing architectural concept at Expo 2010 in Shanghai − a ship’s hull resting on columns with its surface forming an oasis surrounded by palm trees. The visitors inside stand on a conveyor belt that slowly transports them into the main room. It glides around the room and onto a bridge over the 1,600sqm concave projection surface that encompasses the entire floor. The room’s center and ceiling are covered by an oriental-like mirror mosaic. Compositions of floral forms, oriental patterns and poetic images of Saudi Arabia proceed from the room’s deepest point to fill the floor and walls in their entirety. The reflections from the mirror let the room appear to be without end.The spectators find themselves in the midst of a sea of continually changing pictures and sounds. An overwhelming poetic homage to this country and its people that displays both the beauty and pride of Saudi Arabia as well as its strength and striving for innovation.

Constructing a projection surface of this size of 1,600sqm presented both a conceptual and technically great challenge. Twenty-five HD projectors cover the entire room with strong image worlds that are connected without seams. Some of these come from IMAX materials. The sound for this production was recorded using an orchestra with 70 musicians.
