In this video you can see the automatic high speed spot welding of stainless steel components which are manually loaded and unloaded by an operator. There are 2 stations for loading and unloading allowing the operator to load/unload one fixture whilst the other is being laser welded inside the safety enclosure. High speed spot welding (the same system could be used for seam welding) is achieved by use of a galvo scanner which steers the focused beam of a high power fiber laser onto the weld locations as programmed.

Cyan Tec Systems builds robot laser systems for all types of laser processing applications. Here, a laser marker is attached to the end of a 6 axis robot to provide laser marking on engine block castings. A complete safety enclosure is provided to protect the operator from stray laser radiation and robot motion. Components enter and exit the cell via a linear conveyor track. Automatic powered access doors raise automatically to allow components to pass through the enclosure walls. The laser marking application gives a permanent high-contrast black mark which can be used for alphanumeric information, logos, 2D matrix marks and barcodes.
Cyan Tec Systems integrates lasers from all the major manufacturers according to customer and application requirements. 6 axis robots from all the major suppliers can be integrated.
Fitted with a high power fibre laser and a galvanometer scanner as standard, the composite laser cutting system offers the capability to cut over approx. 2 m x 1 m in XY and the motion system is integrated with the scanner to provide high speed processing (an advantage of scanner systems) with a large field (an advantage of XY CNC laser cutting systems), hence offering a "best of both worlds" solution.
This machine is built to a high standard and integrated with CNC and laser source to provide a highly reliable, capable and easy to use system which complies with all the requirements of laser safety for the operator.
Loading and unloading of the machine is simplified by virtue of the automatic power-operated door and the loading tray which slides out to make it very easy for 2 people to load large sheets of material, as can be seen in the video.
