Parallactic Pictures is an independent production company comprised of award winning filmmakers Dennis Widmyer (left) and Kevin Kölsch (right). Formed in 2003, Parallactic Pictures came out of the gate with the back-to-back production of two feature-length projects: a highly popular documentary on bestselling writer Chuck Palahniuk (author of 'Fight Club') and a dark kidnapping mystery entitled 'Absence'. The projects share a common bond in that 'Absence' was shot on a shoestring budget (under $30,000) with revenue earned from sales of the documentary.
Utilizing this fast and flexible DIY approach to filmmaking, Parallactic Pictures spent the next few years incessantly shooting short films, commercials, music videos and festival bumpers. In 2011, as 'Absence' played to VOD audiences across the country, their short film 'Curtain' placed at a number of prestigious film festivals including Fantastic Fest, Cinequest and Telluride.
Most recently, the team has completed their next feature film, 'Starry Eyes'. It will premiere at SXSW. Read more about this film at its official website: starryeyesfilm.com.

„...herrlich durchgeknalltes Roll-Movie.“
